The Crystal Project is holding a six week block of information and support sessions for families of people with dementia. It will begin onWednesday 22nd May 2019 and will run each consecutive Wednesday evening for six weeks. It will be held from 7-9 pm on the floor 2 of Mallow Primary Healthcare Centre. It is free of charge and any family members are welcome to attend.
A range of topics will be covered including:
- An overview of dementia
- Changing relationships
- Communication strategies
- Personal care
- Nutrition and eating well
- Understanding behaviour
- Engaging in activities
- Safety at home
- Looking after yourselves
- Accessing information and support
- Legal issues
