Public information evening, Alzheimer Cafe and Memory Walks

Dementia public information evening

This event is taking place on Wednesday 13^th September in The Culturlann, Newmarket 7-9pm. We   will hear from Charlie Drake who is living with dementia, Jenny Hanna whose mother has dementia and Dr Emma Jennings Consultant Geriatrician.Mallow Hospital, There will also be information on services. Newmarket Alzheimer Café reminder

Looking forward to our first Autumn Alzheimer Café on Thursday 7^th September 11am-1pm. Amy Murphy Dementia Advisor with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland will be speaking about ‘Living well with dementia’.

Tea, coffee and refreshments will be served and it will be an opportunity to share experiences  in an informal setting, This is taking place in The Culturlann, Newmarket P51 D854.

Alzheimer Memory Walks

Last week I emailed you about the walk taking place in Killavullen (Nano Nagle Centre, 11am, 2.5 walk)

There are 2 other walks taking place in Cork on Sunday 24th September.

Macroom  - 10.30am, 5km walk, meeting at Community Lesiure Centre

Blackrock – 10.30am, 5km walk, meeting at ASI Day Care Centre, Blackrock, T12 HF70
