Cork County Cuts Carbon Month

Cork County Cuts Carbon

Cork County Cuts Carbon

Cork County Council has launched its Make One Change campaign for the month of November to encourage the people of Cork to make small, practical changes to their lifestyles in support of climate action.

To celebrate Cork County Cuts Carbon month, there will be climate-themed events and exhibitions taking place in libraries all around Cork County during November, including talks on how to reduce your energy bills, composting, food waste, animals and much more. There will also be nature-themed storytimes and crafts for children to encourage them to think more about the environment.

Children are also encouraged to pick from a list of climate action pledges at their local library, feed it to the Carbon Guzzler and get their card stamped at the library desk. At the end of the month, they will be in with a chance of winning a prize!

Locations, opening hours, and contact details of all Cork County library branches can be found by visiting Your Libraries | Cork County (corkcoco.ie)
