Free training workshops on caring for and cleaning monument and memorials
Cork County Council are hosting one-day workshops aimed at individuals, community groups and professionals interested in the cleaning and caring for archaeological and historic monuments and memorials.
The events aim to promote understanding and good conservation practice in relation to cleaning and clearing archaeological monuments. There will be a specific focus on caring for carved stone, including headstones, and metalwork. The workshops should be of interest to heritage, community and Tidy Town groups as well as individuals throughout County Cork.

The workshops will be held at the following locations on the following dates:

Monday 18th November in the Hibernian Hotel, Mallow  - 10am-4:30pm
·         Tuesday 19th November in the Walter Raleigh Hotel, Youghal 10am-4:30pm
·         Wednesday 20th November in O’Donovan’s Hotel, Clonakilty 10am-4:30pm

The attendance is free-of-charge but the number of attendees at each workshop will be limited.
