We invite you to participate in Ballyhoura Development Carers Event celebrating Carer’s week (June 13th to 19th). If you could promote with people you are working with/supporting we would be very grateful and we would love to see some of you there also.
This is a FREE event for all people who are caring in communities, in a voluntary or paid capacity-parents are more than welcome. It will take place on Monday, 13th of June 2022 from 10am until 12:30pm at the Charleville Park Hotel.
The Agenda is as follows
- Welcome with tea/coffee on arrival.
- A keynote speaker, Sharon Myers aka #OurWheelyBigJourney
will talk about her experiences as a family carer. Sharon cares for her son Noah who has a rare syndrome called Escabar, a lifetime when user who has and continues to overcome huge challenges with the support of Sharon and the rest of this family. - Deirdre Kennedy will provide a short piece on “Communicate to Connect” – a guided interactive session on whole body listening.
- Relax and unwind with Joanne O'Callaghan's yoga session.
- Light refreshments.
