You are invited to the new Bantry Memory Café
that will take place
on the First Wednesday of every month for 2023.

Wednesday 1st of February 2023 @ 11am to 1pm.

The (free) café hopes to provide a warm
welcoming place for people to meet others also living with dementia/ cognitive
impairment, their friends & family as well as health & social care
professionals.
The Bantry Memory Café is run in
partnership by the Family Carers & Older Persons initiative at Local Link, the Alzheimer Society of
Ireland, the HSE (Bantry Primary Care Team, Bantry
General Hospital & Cork South Community Work Department), Bantry Age
Friendly Dementia Sub-group & other volunteers.

A few upcoming dates that may be of interest:
Yoga for relatives, Mallow
A reminder that the six week gentle yoga/support group for relatives of people with dementia is starting on Wednesday in Mallow Primary Healthcare Centre 7-8.30pm and there are still places available. It will be facilitated by the yoga instructor Wendy Griffin. The yoga session will be gentle (no lying) and will focus on wellbeing. It will be followed by a cuppa and chat. Newmarket Alzheimer Café
The next Newmarket Alzheimer Café is taking place on Thursday 2nd February, 11am-1pm and the topic is The Fair Deal (Nursing Home Support Scheme). Tom Murray is speaking on the topic, details attached. To book a place email or text me or contact Karen Fitzpatrick (details attached)
