Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland Fermoy Branch (North & East Cork)
The Fermoy Branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland held its 42nd annual walk onSunday 18th June. The Branch area covers North & East Cork. We are grateful for the continuing support of our dedicated crews of stewards, committee and the Irish Red Cross.We had the pleasure of having Maria Gubbins from The Chatter Box with us providing somewonderful goodies and refreshments, many thanks for the wonderful service. It was great to see many of our old friends rolling into the car park and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting many new participants with their families and four legged friends enjoying the day with us. Thankfully the sunshine helped us to take in the beautiful splendour of the lowlands in Kilworth Woods.We are very thankful to Coillte for allowing us to use their wonderful space of: Glansheskin Forest Recreation Area (Kilworth Wood) for this walk. To all the staff at the papers and radio stations whose publications and media cover our branch area of North and East Cork, thank you for accommodating our updates and advertising. To all those who took sponsorship cards and gave us donations on the day or donated online a sincere acknowledgement from the branch for your continued support, because without your support in fundraising the branch would not function. If you have not yet returned your Sponsorship Card please do so as soon as possible to any committee member. Multiple Sclerosis Ireland is the only national organisation providing information, support and advocacy services to the MS community. The Society advocates on an individual and collective platform for the improvement in services, resources and policies affecting people with MS.
