Hi all.

Social Alarm Grants for Persons over 65 years.
You may have applied for Grants under
Community Support For Older Persons from 1996 to 2010.
You may also have applied for Grants under the Seniors Alert Scheme from 2010 till 7th Sept 2015 with the Dept of Environment ,Community and Local Government.

From the 7th of Sept 2015.
All existing and all new community organisations will have to register with Pobal online.
This will only have to be done once.

Hopefully you or your group will register Online with Pobal so that persons over 65 yrs living in your area can get the benefit of a Social Alarm.

The New online registration means that the group will no longer have to account for large amount of monies .

No longer will groups have to supply invoices or receipts to the department.
Pobal will pay the money direct to the company who is given the tender for your area when the social alarm is installed

If you have one grant application you will not have to wait until you are supplied with 3 quotes from companies.
( Quotes from companies are no longer required.)

When successfully registered with Pobal you will not have to ask Pobal to post Participant Application Form as you will be able to print copies from the web.
This should help in providing a social alarm to the older person quicker.

Finally groups will receive administration fee for new social alarms and reinstalls.
