The Inniscarra Historical Society has just launched their very first Historical Journal which is called 'Changing Times'. The launch took place in Griffins Garden Centre in Dripsey and a massive crowd came out for the event. It was great to see so many neighbouring historical societies support the event as well including the Muskerry Local History Society, Blarney History Society, the Kilmurry Independence Museum and many many more. Speaking at the launch Cllr. Kevin Conway, Chair of the Blarney-Macroom Municipal District commended the group for the undertaking as did County Heritage Officer Conor Nelligan. Historian and Lecturer Shane Lehane gave an excellent talk and the event was excellently MC'ed by the Chair of the Historical Society. The publication received financial support from the HSE and under the Creative Ireland County Cork Grant Scheme 2017.
