Additional Information: This year marks the 60th anniversary of BirdWatch Ireland's bird observatory on beautiful Cape Clear Island, off the West Cork coast. To celebrate this milestone, we are holding the inaugural Cape Clear Wildlife Festival, running on the island from September 2nd to 14th, organised by our Cape Clear Wildlife Officer, Steve Wing. The festival will be opened by the well-known birder, author and TV presenter David Lindo (aka The Urban Birder), and we will have an action-packed range of exciting events over the course of the festival, including guided natural history tours, sea-watching, whale-watching, bird-ringing demonstrations, bee and butterfly walks and fun family wildlife days.
