GOOD NEWS FOR NESTING BIRDS:

Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Ms. Joseph Madigan, TD has announced that there has been no change to the rules governing hedge-cutting.  It is illegal to cut hedgerows between 1^st March and 31^st August inclusive in order to protect nesting birds.
