Cork Volunteer Centre Training Opportunities

 We have some updates below relating to our upcoming training and support opportunities available to you. We are also extremely excited about our up coming events. As we mentioned last month, we're very much looking forward to the year ahead, and hope that you will reach out to us, should you require any support.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Cork Volunteer Centre provides regular training opportunities to organisations registered with us. You will be notified of all upcoming training via these newsletters.

Garda Vetting Training:
You can get signed up to one of our Garda Vetting Training sessions HERE. The aim of this workshop is to equip Garda Vetting Officers with an understanding of Garda Vetting, and Vetting procedures in Cork Volunteer Centre.

The training course follows a modular format and is delivered by trained members of staff from Cork Volunteer Centre.

Volunteer Leadership Training:

Volunteer Leadership Training is tailored for delivery to those within organisations who are responsible for

(1) Planning volunteer programmes;
(2) Recruiting & selecting volunteers;
(3) Maintaining and Supervising volunteers;
(4) Overseeing the volunteer policy within the organisation.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We anticipate demand for this course will be high. However, we will operate a waiting list system in the event of cancellations.

The cost per participant is €100.00 pp. This includes course materials which will be emailed to participants.  A Zoom link will be provided along with confirmation of your place.  Attendees who complete all four modules will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

Once we have enough interested participants, a date will be set for our next training.

Module 1 Planning for Volunteer Involvement
Module 2 Volunteer Engagement: Recruiting and Selecting Volunteers
Module 3 Day to Day Volunteer Management: Supervising and Retaining Volunteers
Module 4 Dealing With Challenging Situations & Programme Development
