August Social Club
We have a really special August Social Club planned. On Thursday 24th August we are going on a nature walk followed by a trad session. The nature walk will take place in Ballyhooly Woods and will be led by Pat Nash. Pat, who has Lewy Body Dementia was formally in the Irish Army and has experience with orienteering, as well as being a founding member of the Ballyhooly Walking Group. While this will be a gentle walk unfortunately it will not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The walk will begin at 11am and will last approx. one hour. We will meet in Ballyhooly and more than likely car pool as there is limited parking at the woods.
This will be followed by a trad session in Ballyhooly Community Centre (EIRCODE P51 DC42) 12.30-1.30 and refreshments will be served.
The trad session is open to anyone – you don’t have to have come on the walk to attend.
Booking for these events is essential. To book your place email me or phone or text Margaret on 086 025 5205. Please include your phone number when booking.
There will be a voluntary contribution bucket at the event and any donations towards the running of our services would be gratefully received.
Thanks to Pat and Margaret Nash and their family for all their work in organising this event. Its not to be missed!!
