Michael Collins VR Documentary Launched

Michael Collins Virtual Reality Experience at Clonakilty Library

On the 101st anniversary of the killing of Michael Collins, Wombat Media, supported through the County Cork Commemorations Grant Scheme, launched a VR Documentary titled ‘Michael Collins: The Ambush at Béal na Bláth’.

About the Documentary by Wombat Media:

‘The Irish revolutionary, soldier and politician ‘Michael Collins’ was undoubtedly one of Cork’s most famous personalities. ‘Michael Collins: The Ambush at Béal na Bláth’ takes participants on a virtual tour to some of West Cork associated sites of Michael Collins. The tour guide ‘Tim Crowley’ runs year round tours which normally last for up to 4 hours. This snapshot tour will give participants an insight into the ambush at Béal na Bláth and surely will encourage people to visit the site in person.

Stops along the tour include The Michael Collins Centre Museum, Woodfield and The Michael CollinsMemorial at Béal na Bláth which was unveiled in August 1924. Tim  will take us through the Ambush site in detail. The virtual tour comes to life with graphics which encourage viewers to have a full 360 experience’.

Michael Collins: The Ambush at Béal na Bláth is VR documentary presented by Tim Crowley that tells the story of Michael Collins’ last days and the ambush at Béal na Bláth.
