Six weeks of information sessions for relatives of people with dementia
We are facilitating a six week block of information sessions for relatives of people with dementia beginning Thursday 11th January 2024. They will run for six consecutive Thursdays until Thursday 15th Feb 2024, 7-9.15pm in Mallow Primary Healthcare Centre.
A range of topics will be covered including:
• An overview of dementia
• Changing relationships
• Communication
• Understanding behaviour
• Engaging in activities
• Safety at home
• Looking after yourselves
• Accessing information and support
• Personal care
• Nutrition and eating well
There will also be opportunities to share experiences with others in similar situations

Newmarket/ Kanturk Alzheimer Café 2024
Takes place on Thursday 4th January 2024, in the Culturlann, Newmarket, 11am-1pm. A local community garda will be talking about safety in the home and community. All are welcome
