Cork County Policing Plan 2024 - Have Your Say!

 


The Divisional Officer, An Garda Síochána, Cork County, Chief Superintendent Vincent O Sullivan is currently drafting An Garda Síochána’s - Cork County Divisional Policing Plan 2024.

In line with the National Policing Plan it will be structured around 5 areas of focus/pillars as follows:

Pillar 1 - Community - An Garda Síochána will continue to strengthen connections with communities, working in partnership to keep people safe.
Pillar 2 - Tackling Crime & Preventative Policing - An Garda Síochána will work at proactively anticipating and addressing crime, including new and emerging crime trends, utilising effective information-led policing approaches.
Pillar 3 - Victims & the Vulnerable - An Garda Síochána will work towards reducing harm by promoting and protecting the dignity and Human Rights of victims and all vulnerable persons interacting with An Garda Síochána.
Pillar 4 - Protecting the security of the Irish State - An Garda Síochána will continue protecting the security of the Irish state and it's people from terrorism and threats detrimental to it's vital interests.
Pillar 5 - Sustainable Change and Innovation - An Garda Síochána will be inspiring and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing innovation and responsiveness to change.

A short survey has been drafted to consult with you, the Community Stakeholders & General Public, so that your views can be considered and included in the goals and objectives of the Cork County Policing Plan 2024.  The information gathered in this survey will help in determining the key areas of focus.
