Welcome to the Inaugural Cork Outdoors Week!
This August, we invite you to step outside, embrace adventure and discover the incredible outdoor experiences that County Cork has to offer.
From 15th to 23rd August, Cork Outdoors Week will celebrate the people, places and organisations that make Cork a premier destination for outdoor recreation. Over nine days, communities across the county will come together to enjoy a diverse programme of activities designed to inspire people of all ages and abilities to get active, connect with nature and try something new.
Whether you're interested in hill walking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, open water swimming, cycling, sailing, rowing, orienteering, or simply looking for a fun family day out, Cork Outdoors Week offers something for everyone.
The week gets underway with the return of Beachfest at Inchydoney on 15th August, featuring a fantastic mix of surfing, beach volleyball, lacrosse, yoga, beach tag rugby, orienteering and more, providing the perfect start to a county-wide celebration of outdoor activity.

Couch to 5k Programme 2026
Ready to take the first step towards a healthier, more active lifestyle? Cork Sports Partnership is delighted to launch its Autumn 2026 Couch to 5K Programme, an 8-week beginner-friendly programme designed to help people progress from little or no running experience to completing a 5K in a fun, supportive and achievable way.
Whether you're completely new to running, returning after a break, or currently walking and looking to build up to jogging, this programme is for you. Participants will be guided every step of the way by qualified coaches and supported in a welcoming group environment.

Why Join? The Couch to 5K Programme is about more than running. It's an opportunity to improve your fitness, boost your wellbeing, meet new people and build confidence in a supportive and encouraging environment. Many participants complete their very first 5K by the end of the programme and continue their activity journey long after the eight weeks are over.
