Cork Volunteer Centre provides a service matching individuals who would like to volunteer, with non-profit organisations who involve volunteers in their activities. Advice and support is offered to both volunteers and non-profit organisations through a range of services including information, consultation, volunteer management training and national vetting bureau administration. Cork Volunteer Centre is a non-profit organisation funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development.Cork Volunteer Centre is a member of Volunteer Ireland.

Role: Placement Officer is responsible for recruiting volunteers and matching them to opportunities; to work with voluntary and community groups to ensure that there are a variety of identified roles available for volunteers to participate in; to engage in Outreach to Cork County; to support the Manager with the implementation of the Board’s Workplan.

Hours of Work:

Part-Time: 28 hours per week.
Out of office hours and at weekends work where necessary.

Contract: Fixed term specified purpose one year contract.

Salary: €21,600 per annum.

Parking is not available for staff at Cork Volunteer Centre
