Free Talk at Mitchelstown Library: The Anxious Child and Specific Learning Difficulty

FREE TALK at Mitchelstown library on Friday 7th February at 11amThe Anxious Child and Specific Learning Difficulty (Sp.LD): For some children school is a place of deep anxiety due to a diagnosis of a Sp.LD (dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia). This can be equally challenging for the family dynamic, including homework struggles, post school meltdowns, spelling tests.  This talk for parents of primary school goers by Lorraine O’ Donnell, will address some of the issues related to anxiety driven by Sp.LD, alongside school work strategies and calming techniques.
