Cork Dementia Services Update

  Just getting in touch with some updates and information on services

 

Exercising for the Brain, Fermoy

We had our first ‘meet and greet’ session on Wednesday in Adair Hall. This physical activity group is for people with dementia and is held on Wednesday mornings. There are still places available so for further information contact Margaret McEntee on 086 0255205

 

Only 5 days til Fermoy Café launch!

We hope to see as many of you then in Adair Hall 2.30-4.30. Amy Murphy, Dementia Advisor with the ASI will be speaking about living with dementia.

 

Youghal social café

Takes place on Friday 28th April 11am-1, Holy Family Hall, Youghal. Two dementia nurses from the Mercy Hospital will be speaking about brain health (see attached)

 

Cork Alzheimer Café

Takes place on Friday 28th April 11-12.30 in the Activity Centre, St Finbarrs Hospital. corkalzheimercafe@gmail.com, 085 148 5800. This months café will enjoy ‘Musical memories with Marie’

 

Stress control

Stress Control is an evidence based programme that teaches you practical skills to deal with stress. This online programme is commencing on Monday 8th May and each session will be available to few for three days. For more information or to register visit  www.stresscontrol.ie.
