HI all,
Fermoy Dementia Café launch
I am delighted to let you know that we are launching Fermoy Dementia Café on Wednesday 26th April in Adair Hall, 2.30-4.30pm. This will be a monthly café where people with dementia, their families and friends can come together in an informal space to learn more about dementia and local services and to share experiences. Each month we will have a different speaker and in April we are delighted that Amy Murphy Dementia Advisor with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland will be giving an overview of dementia and will be talking about services. A poster is attached - please spread the word!
To register you can email me or contact Margaret McEntee, 086 0255 205.
Dementia Inclusive Community Symbol
Please see attached information on the national dementia inclusive community symbol which launched last week. There are some really nice resources available so if you are involved with an organisation or business that would like to be promote being dementia inclusive, you can get in touch with the organisers for a toolkit (details in powerpoint presentation)
All the best
