Over Sixty ​City and County Groups to Be Honoured at Pride in Our Community Awards 2023

 Muintir na Tire, Cork County Council and Cork City Council are thrilled to announce the eagerly anticipated Pride in Our Community Awards for 2023. This prestigious event which, will be held on October 24th aims to recognize and celebrate the remarkable efforts of voluntary groups that have contributed significantly to enhancing communities within Cork City and County.  

This year, over sixty groups made substantial contributions to various community projects in their areas. These projects included community walks and trails, playgrounds, community fields, community centre renovations, monument upgrades, amenity area improvements, river clean-ups, community signage, biodiversity areas, community gardens, allotments, graveyard restoration, floral displays on streetscapes, all-weather facilities, and tree planting initiatives

The Pride in Our Community Awards for 2023 will feature various categories, ensuring that a wide range of community efforts are recognized and celebrated. These categories include:

1.   Small Area/Village Award

2.   Best Large Town in North, South and West Cork

3.   Best Heritage Project

4.   Biodiversity Award

5.   Social Inclusion Award

6.   Best New Entry

7.   Best Tourism Project

8.   Best Maintained Existing Project

9.   Healthy Town/Village Award

10.  Innovation and Creativity Award

11.   Best Youth Engagement Project
