Helping To Improve Your Mood

Helping to improve your Mood’ is a FREE course that runs over 3weeks. If you are interested in learning about the factors that contribute to low mood and learning a range of strategies to manage your moodand overall mental health then come along to this course. It is appropriate for anybody over the age of 18 who is interested in learning these skills.


‘Helping to improve your Mood is designed to be similar to a class or lecture – not group therapy  so you do not have to talk about your problems in front of others. You just sit back and learn some great strategies that you can implement immediately in your lifeThis coursewill be run by Yvonne O’Brien, Counselling Psychologist with the HSE North Cork Primary Care Psychology Service. 


As low mood is so common, there can be large numbers in the course. Feel free to bring someone along with you if it would make you feel more comfortable. 



What happens in each of the sessions?

• Session 1: Information about low mood, risk & protective factors, the power of our thoughts
• Session 2: Getting active & managing troublesome thoughts
• Session 3: Coping with setbacks, developing self-compassion & making use of mindfulness

Wednesday January 11th 2017 (10-11:30am)

Wednesday January 18th 2017 (10-11:30am)

Wednesday January 25th 2017 (10-11:30am)
