CDYS is a voluntary youth and community organisation providing a range of quality services responding to the needs of children, young people, their families and communities in the Diocese of Cloyne.

Applications are invited for the following

Outreach Counsellor – To work with young people and Families  

35 hours a week – Initial 12 month contract  

CDYS is recruiting for the post of Outreach Counsellor to work with young people and families as part of a pilot project across CDYS Services in North Cork. This project is delivered in partnership with TUSLA: Child and Family Agency and the HSE Alcohol and Addiction Services.   

The post seeks to provide low cost counselling and family support services to young people / families on a referral and appointment basis. We are seeking a highly qualified and highly motivated professional to work across our services.  

·         Applicants should be suitable qualified (see job description) 

·         Candidates must be I.A.C.P. / I.A.H.I.P. accredited with at least two years post registration experience / Or another recognisable accrediting body.

·      A minimum of 2 years experience of working with young people /families in a community setting.
