There is a great pride and sense of anticipation in South/East Cork as Community Groups and Tidy Towns Groups look forward to the Pride in our Community Awards on Wednesday October 27th. During the summer, despite restrictions, volunteers have been busy working on their projects and ensuring their towns and villages looked great. The Pride in Our Community awards are organised by Cork County Muintir na Tire in Conjunction with Cork County Council Environment Directorate.
See below some of the projects.
Cobh Tidy Towns project is a giant Mural. The mural at Carrigaloe is located on the road into Cobh just under the railway bridge after Cobh Golf
Club on the main approach to Cobh.
Glounthaune Community Association project is Harper's Island Wetlands Nature Reserve and Nature Trail
BLCC Ladysbridge Tidy Towns Committee project is the development of an unstable and unsightly bank on the eastern side of the graveyard into a pollinator
