For your information Phase 2 of the Community Development Initiative applications will close at 4pm on Friday, 17th September. This scheme is operated in association with the three Local Community Development Committees (LCDCs) and is a €3.5M fund in total which Cork County Council has been putting its own funds aside on a yearly basis since 2016. Phase 2 will see the release of €750k. The Cork County Community Development Intiative is in co-operation with the 6 Local Development Companies who are who are operating the LEADER Programme, i.e. Avondhu/Blackwater Partnership CLG, Ballyhoura Development CLG, IRD Duhallow CLG, SECAD Partnership CLG, Udarás na Gaeltachta and Comhar na nOileán Teo.
The fund is open to all community groups to improve & enhance their facilities with grants between €1,000 and €25,000 being available to support capital projects.
