Cork County Council Allocated €257,700 of Outdoor Works in 2024-2025 under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme

The Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) provides funding for the development of new outdoor recreational infrastructure. It also provides support for the necessary repair, maintenance, enhancement or promotion of existing outdoor recreational infrastructure in rural areas across Ireland. This includes improvements to trails, walkways, cycleways, and blueways. A total of €608,550 was allocated to County Cork, of which €257,250 was awarded to Cork County Council for a range of projects.

In addition to the €257,250 allocated to Cork County Council, an additional €350,300 was allocated to local development companies for outdoor works in other areas of County Cork.
