West Cork Women Against Violence Project (WCWAVP) has partnered with Tusla, Kerry Rape Crisis Centre and Sexual Violence Centre Cork to survey Service Providers in the Statutory, Community and Voluntary sectors across West Cork, as well as community groups and clubs. They want to hear from Services or Groups who are being contacted by or are supporting in any way children, teens or adults in West Cork who may have experienced sexual abuse or sexual violence of any kind.
You are asked you to take about 15 minutes to document your vital work or volunteering that includes supporting children, teens or adults in West Cork who may have experienced any kind of sexual abuse or sexual violence.
No matter how seldom you encounter calls for help regarding this issue, please use this survey to talk about your experience in West Cork. The more of you who respond, the more successful the survey will be in highlighting this issue in a rural region, the work and volunteering that is being done already, and the challenges and gaps to address.
Your participation will provide evidence from community-level in West Cork and help to give those who are impacted by sexual violence in this rural region a voice in any new service that may develop in the future.
Please start the survey by clicking here. This weblink takes you to the external website of SurveyMonkey. Only Dr. Caroline Crowley, the researcher, can access the information that you share.
If you have any questions as you work through this survey, you can contact Caroline directly at crowleyresearch@gmail.com or (087) 610 1510 and she will be happy to help you.
