Welcome to our March newsletter, we have upcoming training and support opportunities available to you. We are also extremely excited about our up coming outreach events .  TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES Cork Volunteer Centre provides regular training opportunities to organisations registered with us.  Volunteer Leadership Training: Volunteer Leadership Training is tailored for delivery to those within organisations who are responsible for (1) Planning volunteer programmes; (2) Recruiting & selecting volunteers; (3) Maintaining and Supervising volunteers;  (4) Overseeing the volunteer policy within the organisation. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We anticipate demand for this course will be high. However, we will operate a waiting list system in the event of cancellations. Click HERE to express your interest in this training. PROMOTE YOUR ORGANISATION Promote your organisation and upcoming roles by doing a "Meet the Organisations". This is a great opportunity to directly communicated to interested volunteers in a one hour virtual session,  followed by a brief Q&A. For more information contact Ciara. OUTREACH CORK CITY Ciara, our Placement Officer and Community Volunteers Coordinator, is visiting Hollyhill  on the 9th March.  If your organisations needs volunteers, or you are interested in finding out about the other services that are available through the Cork Volunteer Centre, visit our Pop up Volunteer Centre at Hollyhill Library between 11am to 2pm. OUTREACH CORK COUNTY Gosia, our Placement and Outreach Officer, is visiting Youghal with our Pop up Volunteer Centre on Tuesday, 21st March.  If you are looking for volunteers or/and have any questions in relation to volunteer management, you can have a chat with Gosia Youghal Library between 10am and 1pm.  Please reserve your spot HERE If you cannot make it (venue, time), please contact Gosia directly on gosia@volunteercork.ie to schedule a suitable meeting. UPCOMING EVENTS WE ACT We Act has been invited to apply for a space in the Cork St. Patrick's Day parade. This is an opportunity to march in the parade, showcasing different Cork-based charities like  Cork County Federation Muintir na Tire under a We Act banner.We Act also has been invited to provide badges/signage for other groups who apply independently; ensuring there is a We Act thread throughout the whole parade.  Get involved HERE. NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK  National Volunteering Week 2023 will take place from 15th - 21st May, it is a week long celebration of volunteering. This is a week full of events to celebrate volunteers both online and in person, with everything from yoga to coffee mornings to seminars on offer. Get your organisation involved by holding a Thank You Event or Certificate Presentations .
