Kinsale Tidy Towns are Winners of Best Heritage Project Award at twelfth Annual Pride in Our Community Competition

Kinsale Tidy Towns have won the Best Heritage Project at the 12th Annual Muintir na Tire Pride in our Community Awards held in Oriel House Ballincollig. Their Project was praised by the Judges and was described  as follows ‘We have a model of Walled Town of kinsale which was initially started many years ago which was timber model with the idea of eventually casting it in bronze and placing it in a prominent position where actual old wall stood. Due to the recession the casting was delayed but we are now pleased to say Kinsale Tidy towns resumed work and project is now almost complete with only the information signs to be erected and lights installed.

Mayor of County Cork Councillor Seamus McGrath congratulated them and said that it was great to see the effort being put in by them and other community groups in developing locally-based Amenity/ Projects which are of long-term benefit to their local community all over County Cork’
