We were delighted to finally be able to launch Cork Cultural Companions on Tuesday!
It had to be done virtually unfortunately, via Zoom.
We were so happy to see so many join us live on the day and delighted that so many signed up as members after the launch.
A huge thank you to everyone that tuned in and to those who have joined us since a very warm welcome to you all!
Over the last few months we have been working very closely with various venues, arts organisations, community centred organisations and the libraries, to try our best to find ways to connect with our members on a fun, engaging and meaningful level.
Though it was not initially our remit to organise our own events we decided that we would develop a few activities that our members can avail of until such time that things can return to normal and we can all enjoy attending events together again.
We were successful in obtaining funding from Creative Ireland and Healthy Ireland to make these activities possible and free of cost to our members.
'Tea and Ballet' (which starts this coming Monday), a Clay Modelling Workshop, 'Culture on Call', Mobile Film Screenings, Theatre in the Community are just a sample of what we will be offering.
More information on the activities, as we roll them out, will be sent to members of Cork Cultural Companions so if you have not already signed up and want to know more then please come join us.
As a member you will also receive information on a selection of online events being offered by venues, podcasts that can be enjoyed in your own time and other links to visual art exhibitions, literary events and so much more.
If you would like any further information then please
email me at: culture@muintircork.com or feel free to call me on: 085-1300335
I look forward to connecting with you over the next while,
My very best wishes,
Barbara
P.S. We know that some people would have liked to attend the launch on Tuesday but were unable to, so we have included a link here so that you can watch some of the videos from the day.
