Minding Your Well Being
A
Programme to Support Positive Mental Health and Well being
This is a one day training programme
offered by Health Promotion & Improvement to support staff to care for
their own mental well being and to promote positive mental health in their
workplace setting
What are the aims of this training?
The aim of
this training is to better equip staff to support their own mental well being
within the work setting and to enable them to promote positive mental well
being within their professional role
The learning objectives of the
training are:

To
improve participants’ understanding of a positive approach to mental well-being
and how it can be applied for their own wellness and in their professional work
practice.
·
To
improve participants understanding of the potential benefits that mindfulness
and gratitude practices and positive thought processes can have on mental
wellbeing.
·
To
improve participants’ ability to apply the knowledge or skills gained for the
benefit of their own well being and within their professional roles
·
To
prompt participants to further explore the area of mental well-being beyond the
training.
Who should attend?
The
training aims to support all staff who wish to actively support their own
mental health and well being and that of their patients and clients
Please Note: This programme incorporates a
universal approach to the promotion of positive mental health and well being
for everyday living. It is not of a clinical nature and does not encompass the
identification, symptoms or treatment of mental illnesses. It is not intended
as a personal therapeutic training and participants will not be expected or invited
to discuss their own personal mental health experiences.
