Advocacy Gathering
The Independent Advocacy Gathering started in Cork in 2012. A group of people who are interested in different types of advocacy share stories and ideas and develop advocacy in Ireland.
Each year an independent advocacy gathering is held with speakers invited to talk about different issues related to advocacy.
The theme for the Independent Advocacy Gathering for 2019 is ‘Our Voices, Our Choices’
Issues for discussion include human rights, law and policy, making decisions in disability services and decisions about medication.
Our Voices, Our Choices will take place on Wednesday 27th March 2019 in Oriel House Hotel Ballincollig from 09:30 to 16:00
